台東区文化探訪・文化ガイドブックについて
地域の文化継承や伝承が、近年では地域活性化の重要な課題や使命ともなっています。本ウェブサイトは、このような貴重な文化資産を記録保存し、また伝承する事を目的として、台東区と早稲田大学メディアデザイン研究所(長幾朗所長)の共同研究プロジェクトの一環として制作されました。インターネットやコンピュータによるデジタルアーカイブは記録保存性に優れるとともに、国内外を問わず広く情報公開し、また横断的な閲覧も可能にします。本ウェブサイトでは、このような特性を用いて、失われつつある社会資産としての文化継承に努め、さらにこれらの充実を図る事を目指しています。
 
Taito Culture Guide Book
This website was created as part of the joint project between Taito City and the Institute of Media Design, Waseda University, (led by director Ikuro Choh) in order to document, preserve and hand down these valuable cultural assets. A digital archive created on the internet and computer has excellent stability, and can make the data cross-searchable and open to the public both at home and abroad. Using these characteristics, this website strives to promote the succession of the culture, which is seen as vanishing social assets, and aims to further enrich the contents.
